FAQs

What happens if my pet becomes ill or injured?

Your pet’s welfare is our primary concern so we will not hesitate to administer first aid and/or take them to the vet if we deem it necessary. We will, wherever possible, keep you informed at all times. During the initial consultation your sitter will take note of your usual vet practice and a named person who can speak for you if you are uncontactable. The client or named person will be required to liaise with the vet practice to pay for all costs incurred.

What if something happens to my property while I am away?

Your sitter will contact you and your named person to help resolve any issues which might occur to your property while you are away.

What if I am delayed returning home?

Just contact us and we will continue to arrange a sitter for your pets until you return. There will be no extra charge above our usual rates.

Will you be able to administer medication to my pet?

We are experienced in administering medications to a range of animals and would be happy to follow any specific requirements your pets have. However if your pet struggles to accept their medication we may request the opportunity to undertake a trial run with you present. If you feel this may be required it will be arranged at a mutually convenient time and will be charged as one standard visit.

What is a puppy/kitten visit?

We understand that puppies and kittens can require constant attention during their first months. We offer a puppy/kitten service to keep younger pets company while you are out or otherwise engaged.

How are my keys collected/stored?

Ideally your sitter will collect a set of keys at the initial consultation or you can arrange to drop them off with us. If this is not possible then we can arrange to collect them from you at a suitable time however this will be charged at the rate of one standard visit. Keys are labelled with a unique identifier and stored in a locked box at all times. We are happy to retain a set of keys for future visits if required; useful if you ever lock yourself out!

Areas covered?

At present we are able to cover visits to, and around, Banchory, Torphins, Garlogie, Westhill, Drumoak and Peterculter. We are however happy to discuss the possibility of visits to areas beyond those listed above and will accommodate these wherever possible. For some areas a small fuel charge will be added, this will be discussed with you prior to booking.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We are happy to accept payment by cash, cheque or bank transfer. Your sitter will discuss arrangements with you at the initial consultation.
